ErP (Energy-Related Products) Directive

Since officially signing a contract in May, 2010 to initiate engagement in environmental protection testing and certification services, CCS has quickly become a leading authority on the EU’s ErP Directive, providing convenient and cost-efficient ErP compliance evaluations and declarations for mandatory CE Mark requirements. 

On October 21, 2009, The European Council passed an amendment to the EuP (Energy-using Products) Directive called the ErP (Energy-related Products) Directive aimed at reducing the environmental impact of products at the same time as preserving their functionality and usability. 

The ErP (Energy-related Products) Directive has become an integral part of the CE Mark testing and certification process, and applies to all energy-related products, including energy-consuming products and energy-saving products such as windows, as well as some water-using domestic devices that can reduce water consumption and therefore the amount of energy needed to heat water.
